The Epistle of Jude

Jude (Judah), a servant of Jesus Christ and the brother of James (and likely the half-brother of Jesus). He modestly identifies himself by his relationship to James rather than his physical relation to Jesus, reflecting profound humility.

Jude originally intended to write a letter celebrating common salvation, but he felt compelled to urgently change his focus. He wrote to warn believers against false teachers who had secretly slipped into the church. These deceivers were twisting the grace of God into a license for immorality and denying the lordship of Jesus Christ.
